Every summer, Rooftop Gaston returns to our roots and opens our event venue as a summer pop-up restaurant & bar. From July through August, enjoy delicious food and refreshing cocktails on our sun-drenched terrace. Enjoy a game of petanque with friends or settle into our cozy beach chairs with a view of the Ghent skyline!

A summer menu at the highest level
At Restobar Gaston you can go for a light lunch or an extensive dinner. Be surprised by Gaston's Belgian-French classics with an angle off and taste the best home-made croquettes in the country. Whether you are an avid vegetarian or vegan or lover of a local piece of meat and sustainable fish, you will find something for everyone on Gaston's varied menu!

Restobar Gaston is open during the summer months (July 1st to August 31st). Be sure to check out our Google account and leave a review!
*On Mondays and Tuesdays, we do not serve lunch and Gaston is open from 6:00 PM. We are closed on Saturdays.

Frequently asked questions about our Restobar
When is the pop-up open?
We are open Monday through Sunday (July 1 / August 31). Closed on Saturdays. Be sure to check the opening hours before you leave.
Do I need to make a reservation to come to Restobar Gaston?
Reservations are recommended, reservations run smoothly every summer. Between 2pm and 6pm we serve refreshing drinks and tasty tapas.
Can I also just come for a drink?
Of course! Our summer terrace is open continuously, be sure to check our opening hours before you leave.
Reservations for Lazy Afternoon are available on the beach or at the high-top tables. If you wish to dine afterwards, please make a separate dinner reservation.
Can you also make reservations for large groups?
Yes, please send an email from 10 people to restobar@rooftopgaston.be
Is your location wheelchair accessible?
Yes, with our elevator you can easily get to the 4th floor, also our party room is wheelchair accessible and we have adapted toilets.
Is the Restobar also open in bad weather?
Of course, Rooftop Gaston has a spacious covered terrace and a large indoor space used during inclement weather.
Is our restobar closed or full?
STAMcafé Ghent
Even outside the summer vacations, you can have a delicious lunch at our sister location STAMcafé on the enchanting Bijloksite in Ghent. With food and culture as a common thread, you can go there every day - except Wednesdays - for breakfast, lunch or apéro. In summer weather you can enjoy the café's magnificent sun terrace. Curious? Unfortunately a real challenge in terms of accessibility as a result of the totally uncoordinated roadworks policy combined with the crazy circulation plans leading to Kafkaesque situations! : Gaston'Roofbar deserves better!!!!
